It is a rather ingenious trigger system that acts like a DAO trigger (Dual Action Only), but instead of having the standard 10-12lb trigger pull of a DAO trigger, the cocking of the hammer or racking of the slide preloads the trigger and turns it into a 4.5lb trigger!

Mar 05, 2013 · I really like the V1 double single trigger on the HK. The Glock's trigger is a LITTLE on the mushy side, but once you are used to it it becomes "normal". Both have options to change the trigger weight/pull. I like the HK's mag release a LITTLE better. I shoot the HK only SLIGHTLY better than the Glock, but that varies with each shooter.

I own both a USP 9 and 9c, each with the LEM trigger variant. If you're focused on the DA/SA setup (or can't find an LEM), definitely buy it, shoot it - as someone else suggested, and then upgrade/change the trigger-feel to your preference. Most have stated the DA is not great, which is true, but trust me it's even worse on the LEM variants.

The biggest issue with the P30 vs. the HK45 series is that the P30 needs to be either ordered with a LEM trigger or with a DA/SA with a rear mounted de-cocker (that works great) set up with or without a safety. I shot HK DA/SA guns more than almost any other system for a lot of years.
LEM more resembles the AS trigger in the Walthers but the first stage pull in the Walther is even lighter than the HK and the trigger break is further back and even lighter. Biggest difference overall is the HK’s are hammer fired vs. Walthers are striker fired.

Nope, HK makes everything for their pistols, no one can get the design specs and such. The only thing I have ever see that wasn't HK, USP mags, A few springs, Sights, and that is about it. No trigger kits or anything else. I just put a Match trigger in my USP 45, and it is amazing.
